Ahh, ice cream. My edible crush. I have weak moments and ice cream is there for me. Not often – but when necessary. It’s such a summer right of passage… I have never made it myself, but would love to embark on this new culinary challenge. I’m pretty sure my daughter would approve. She doesn’t get to eat at the sketchy chain places with the little red cups or endless flavors… so homemade it will probably be.
My favorite, any day, is chocolate. Straight up, no extras needed. π
I like ice cream simple too, Niki. For me it’s vanilla bean.
Hey Jess!
Love the video! My favorite ice cream would depend on the day…. But strawberry cheesecake sounds divine right now π
Without a doubt, Rum’n Raisin is the best ice cream in the world. So difficult to find in the US. I miss it.
My favorite flavor is vanilla! Neat blog!
Thanks, Leslie! This Wednesday’s post is about the quest for the best vanilla ice cream.
Love the 10 ways with ice cream! I am inspired to make some ice cream with st. Germaine. I never thought of alcohol in my ice cream. Have to say I love any ice cream with chocolate and peanut butter.
Thanks, Carolyn! There are a ton of recipes for adding your favorite liqueur, beer, or fortified wine to ice cream. Doing this will also yield a softer ice cream, because alcohol inhibits freezing. I can’t wait to taste what you create!
Jess,
Your videocast is awsome. You are warm and inviting. What time should I be there for your home made ice cream. Any flavor would be great. Especially curious about Len’s choice from his homeland. Just kidding, keep up the good work on your blog. You are amazing!
Teal
π Thanks, Mom.
this is such a beautiful blog- I’m glad I stumbled across it! My favorite ice cream flavor is vanilla with strawberries and mint mixed in π
Thanks for reading, Hannah! I love herbal flavors with strawberry & vanilla. Basil could be nice…you’re giving me ideas. π
Love the video! But I might be partial, because I mostly love getting to see/hear you!! π
I have two favorites in the category of ice cream. For American-style traditional ice cream, I’m simple and traditional:I love french vanilla bean ice cream. However, I have expanded my palate in the last few yearsβ¦ My favorite gelato flavor is pistachio. I fell in love with pistachio gelato while visiting my fiance’s home town in Sicily. His cousin owns a small gelato shop and would give me a free scoop every afternoon β¦ yum!
I’m with you Elyse- love vanilla bean ice cream and my fav gelato is nutella. Thanks for liking the video. π It was quite the challenge. I will only get better!
Lovely video blog addition. So exciting. Perhaps we need ice cream to officially celebrate your birthday next week. Fav flavor = espresso or coffee π
Thanks, friend! I always need something sweet, as you know. : )
